Multifactor Authentication (Duo)

What is Multifactor Authentication?

Multifactor Authentication (MFA) is a process of authenticating using two unique items of identification. Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ utilizes Duo Mobile for its MFA solution.

MFA is the most powerful tool to prevent attackers from accessing your account and stealing your information. As such, MFA is required for all Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ accounts per our acceptable usage standards to ensure that our information systems remain as secure as possible.

Prevent Fraudulent Access

  1. When you receive a Duo Mobile push notification, the location of the login attempt will be listed in the app.

This can be a good indicator of a fraudulent attempt to access your account, especially if the request is coming from an unfamiliar location.

  2. If you receive a login request that you did not initiate, do not approve the request.

  3. Duo multifactor authentication is subject to risk-based authentication.

  4. Account authentication activity is monitored to proactively address cyber-threats.
