What's New on Campus: Fall 2026

A late Labor Day weekend gave the Ģ��Ƶ Ospreys an extra week to enjoy summer break. For new and returning students, there are exciting changes on campus including the opening of our newly renovated library and learning commons, more academic options, a celebration of 50 years of performing arts on campus and more.

Annual Ģ��Ƶ Foundation Golf Classic Tees Off on Sept. 17

Golfers will have the opportunity to show off their swings while supporting Ģ��Ƶ scholarships during the Ģ��Ƶ Foundation’s annual Golf Classic on Sept. 17 at Renault Winery and Resort.

Interested golfers have a choice of two flights: the Early Bird Flight begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. following breakfast, and the Afternoon Aces Flight begins at 1:30 p.m. preceding a cocktail reception. Registration ends Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Tickets are $250 per individual golfer or $1,000 per foursome, and sponsorships start at $500.

This year’s tournament features contests for golfers of all skill levels, including Men's and Women's Closest to the Pin, Men’s and Women’s Longest Drive and Tournament winners. Putt for Prizes and the 50/50 raffle will also be available.

Proceeds from the annual event benefit scholarships and essential initiatives powered by the Ģ��Ƶ Fund, which helps Ģ��Ƶ students access experiential learning opportunities on and off campus.

“I am a member of the Track team, two executive boards for clubs on campus and a member of the Residential Life team. Support from this event helps me pay for school while being able to enjoy the extracurricular activities," said Louden Jobes, a Criminal Justice major expected to graduate in 2027, when asked about the impact of Foundation scholarships.

SPOTLIGHT ON: JAMAEL HARRISON

Capstone explores forces behind strategic planning

Jamael Harrison, director of Student Affairs Assessment and Communication, recently completed EAB’s Rising Higher Education Leaders Fellowship, a six-month program that helps emerging leaders develop practical skills and advance an institutional priority through a capstone project.

For his capstone, Harrison developed the Four Currents Framework for Strategic Planning, a way to examine the cultural, political, structural and aspirational forces that can determine whether strategic plans succeed or stall. EAB featured the project among the spring 2026 cohort’s work.

In this Q&A, Harrison shares how the framework grew from Ģ��Ƶ’s own strategic planning transition and why leaders need to look beneath goals and metrics to understand what really moves an institution forward.

Welcome, New Faculty!

New Faculty Orientation was held on Wednesday, Aug. 26, in Campus Center Meeting Room 5.

During the orientation, participants got to know each other, heard from members of Ģ��Ƶ leadership, enjoyed light refreshments, and became acquainted with the many resources that the University offers.

Ģ��Ƶ Blanks Immaculata 2-0

The women's soccer team in the first half and shut out Immaculata 2-0 in the first full game of the season for the Ospreys after their season opener was suspended due to lightning on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Kylee Reissek got Ģ��Ƶ on the board from long range in the 16th minute as her shot from at least 35 yards away floated in under the crossbar for a 1-0 lead.

Junior Mia Caruso potted her first career goal in the 37th minute with a left-footed shot from 20 yards out that made it 2-0 in favor of the Ospreys.

Ģ��Ƶ goalkeeper Tori Vliet made all three of her saves in the second half to preserve the lead and collect her first career shutout with the 2-0 triumph.

Ģ��Ƶ returns home to host York College at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6

Ģ��Ƶ Edges Bryn Mawr 2-1

The field hockey team scored the first two goals of the game and edged Bryn Mawr 2-1 for its in the opening three days of the season on Sept. 3. All three goals were scored in the last 11 minutes of the match.

After more than 49 scoreless minutes, Brooke Ruiz broke through for Ģ��Ƶ with 10:12 left in the fourth quarter. Sophomore transfer Emmah Devlin made it 2-0 with 3:06 remaining, netting her first goal as an Osprey.

Carrie Povich scored with just 1:47 remaining to pull Bryn Mawr within one, but Ģ��Ƶ did not allow a shot the rest of the way and held on for the 2-1 triumph.

Ģ��Ƶ goalkeeper Delfina Vanelli made a career-high nine saves for the win. Sydney Wright recorded six stops for Bryn Mawr.

Ģ��Ƶ will host #5 Salisbury University at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6.

OSPREY NOTES

It’s Almost Time to Confirm Your Ospreys!

Welcome back, faculty! As the fall semester is about to begin, it's almost time to Confirm your Ospreys!

Faculty are reminded to complete the Academic Engagement process by confirming student attendance/academic activity beginning after the add/drop period on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The Academic Engagement process is to be completed by Wednesday, Sept. 23. The Office of Financial Aid will use this information to make adjustments to student financial aid disbursements based upon each student's confirmed number of credits.

Each instructor will be responsible for confirming student attendance or participation in an academic activity. For online courses, faculty are reminded to include an assignment or discussion activity during the add/drop period so that the student's attendance can be confirmed.

Ģ��Ƶ Bookstore Fall 2026 Hours

The Galloway Campus Bookstore has extended hours for the start of the semester:

Sept. 5: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
Sept. 6: 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Sept. 8–11: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sept. 14–15: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Regular semester hours begin Sept. 16: 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Special and modified hours include:

Oct. 10: University Weekend, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Oct. 17: Discover Ģ��Ƶ Day, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
Dec. 24: 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

The bookstore will be closed for Labor Day on Sept. 7, Thanksgiving Break on Nov. 26–27 and Winter Break from Dec. 25 through Jan. 1. For more information, visit or call 609-652-4357.

URM Assumes Marketing Video Production

University Relations and Marketing (URM) has assumed responsibility for the University’s marketing video production. As part of this transition, all new marketing video requests should be submitted to URM using the updated Service Request Form.

Event recording requests and other non-marketing inquiries should be routed through ITS Support Services by emailing HelpDesk@stockton.edu.

With a smaller production team, URM is introducing a new process for reviewing and prioritizing marketing video requests to ensure resources are focused on projects that have the greatest impact on the University’s strategic priorities, including enrollment, recruitment, retention and institution-wide marketing initiatives.

Because the process for reviewing and evaluating marketing video requests has changed, campus community members are encouraged to read the Service Request Form carefully before submitting a request.

Foundation Hosts 2nd Annual Welcome Back Gathering

The Ģ��Ƶ Foundation invites faculty, staff and students to its 2nd Annual Welcome Back Gathering from 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, on the second floor of K-Wing.

Stop by for light refreshments, connect with the Development & Alumni Relations team and learn how philanthropy creates opportunities for Ģ��Ƶ students.

Ģ��Ƶ Dining Fall 2026

Ģ��Ƶ Dining offers options ranging from Chick-fil-A, Dunkin' and Einstein Bros. Bagels to the all-you-care-to-eat Food Hall at The Nest. Dining locations are available throughout the Campus Center, N Wing, F Wing, C Wing, Lakeside and Ģ��Ƶ Atlantic City.

Hours vary by location and day, with a modified schedule during Welcome Weekend, Sept. 4–7.
