Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ's Resident Dance Company
Founded in 1979 by Gail Lee Abrams and Joshua Jess Cabot, the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Dance Company provides Atlantic County with an exciting season of concert dance. Developing artists share their artistic vision with an audience through the Fall Choreography Project and Emerging Choreographers Showcase. Spring Dance Concert is the culmination of hours of experimentation in the dance studio, and the apex of Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Dance Company’s season.
Dancers audition to be part of the company. Resident choreographers Beau Hancock, Caitlin Quinn Pittenger, Lauren Putty White, and Rain Ross create original works each year, and select guest artists are invited to choreograph for the company. Such guests have included Tiffany Mills (Tiffany Mills Dance), MIchael Nickerson-Rossi (Nickerson-Rossi Dance), Starr Foster (Starr Foster Dance), Robert Moses (Robert Moses' Kin), Andrea Miller (Gallim Dance), Jon Lehrer (Lehrer Dance), Germaul Barnes (Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company), and others.
For the 2025-26 season, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Dance Company presents two performances in the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Performing Arts Center, and one in the Experimental Theatre. Spring Dance Concert includes guest a work set by Mark Caserta of BIGKID Dance and new choreography by former Dance Theater of Harlem dancer Chandra Moss-Thorne. Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Dance Company Performances
Fall Choreography Project brings together new works from the most promising student
choreographers in the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ dance community. It continues a Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ tradition
of presenting exciting and thought-provoking work from choreographers at all stages
of their artistic development. These dance makers are forging new paths in contemporary
choreography, and the Fall Choreography Project is an opportunity to witness the early
work of the next generation of New Jersey dance artists.

Spring Dance Concert highlights the gifted artists of the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ dance community,
presenting works from notable guest choreographers that challenge these maturing performers.
Internationally recognized and up-and-coming artists join resident choreographers
Beau Hancock, Caitlin Quinn Pittenger, Rain Ross, and Lauren Putty White, whose eclectic
and imaginative choreography dependably delights. This diverse program promises to
be a moving evening.

The Emerging Choreographers Showcase is filled with moments of striking physicality,
unusual grace, and the unexpected. This juried showcase for dance makers at the start
of their careers is a laboratory for choreographic experimentation and innovation.
The Experimental Theatre's intimacy offers audiences a personal experience with forward-looking
choreography and gives these developing artists the chance to cultivate their artistic
voices. Witness the variety and vibrancy of the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ community's finest emerging
choreographers.
