and much more. In this course, learn about the real-life Rosie the Riveters who stepped
into new roles and became an essential part of the war effort.
Patty Chappine is an adjunct professor at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ. Her recent book New
Jersey Women during World War II: On the Home Front and Abroad was published by Lexington
Books in 2024.

Professor Jacques Press is an experienced instructor with an international background who spent many years at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ. Fluent in French and English, he has conducted several conversation classes to local adults, under the direction of Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµâ€™s Office on Continuing Studies. Currently, he facilitates regular French online weekly meetings to a wider community of interest.
