What to Expect

After a Referral is Submitted

  1. Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Cares Staff will review the referral

     
  2. Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Cares Staff will connect with the student(s) for more information and follow up

    • The student will be connected to a Case Manager who will work directly with the student to determine appropriate next steps, and provide resources both on and off campus that will help the student continue on their Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ journey. 
  3. Depending on the referral, a Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Cares staff member may reach out to the referral party to gather more information

    • Based on the nature of the situation and the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the referrer may not receive updates about the student(s) follow up and services. 
  4. If the situation requires an immediate response, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Police may be called if the referral is related to a medical emergency or threat of harm to self or others
